They say knitting is the new yoga.... well I can say without a doubt that I have a much more relaxing time with yoga! This blanket is an example of one step forward and two steps back. I am definitely learning as I go, and have made progress due to a lotttt of support from e. I am determined to keep going. A very special baby is coming in January, and this will be waiting.... with love.
A gorgeous day filled with some of the things I love most..... time with the Great C, riding, taking photos, bird watching, deep breathing......
In between pedaling, I managed to snap a few shots. Notice C turning right at the corner at the bottom of the hill? Next time I must take the time to photograph the beautiful horses, as well as the delicate Queen Anne's Lace adorning the roadside.
Thanks to e for another beautiful day in the country. I loved the sunflowers, and they inspired a reminder of this beautiful traditional prayer.....May the long time sun shine upon you, All love surround you, And the pure light within you, Guide your way home.
As my best friend, Regina, says "One of the best things about summer is being barefoot in the sand." I agree wholeheartedly, especially since I was playing with these little piggies on Amelia Island while on vacation with family a couple of weeks ago.
On the fourth of July, before celebrating with family and friends, I enjoyed the simple pleasure of picking fresh raspberries (and unexpectedly digging potatoes). The metal colander pictured belonged to my Mom, and I treasure it. Hope your holiday weekend included reverence for country, as well as happy times with loved ones. Of course, homemade potato salad and ice cream topped with fresh berries makes everything even better.
If you can't have fun in the sun, do the next best thing..... have fun in the snow. We were out and about again today enjoying some time outside. Hope you did, too.
Yesterday was a snow day. We took a walk around town, and unfortunately, I wore leather gloves which are better suited for warmer weather. However, they were perfect for taking pictures! This photo was taken when we were almost home. I love the fact the man and his best friend look so connected... and I love them.
